I'm Jenna Elwell

I obtained my master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The Chicago School in 2023. I have been licensed to practice counseling since 2023.I am currently pursuing my PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision from The Chicago School. I obtained my bachelor's degree with a double major in Psychology and Criminal Justice from the University of Michigan in 2017. I have also obtained my credential as a
Certified Trauma Professional (CTP).
I specialize in trauma therapy, PTSD treatment, anxiety disorders, and substance use/addiction. I additionally utilize Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for the treatment of OCD. I work with adolescents 13 and older and adults.
My goal is to help clients build resilience, strengthen coping strategies, and improve overall well-being. I have experience working with diverse populations, including individuals managing anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. My counseling style is collaborative, empathetic, and tailored to each client’s unique needs and goals to support their healing and growth. I believe in creating a safe, affirming space where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered. I use various approaches in my counseling, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and solution focused therapy (SFT).
