Hello
I'm Riley Day
LLMSW
Hi, and welcome! I’m Riley Day and I am a limited license masters social worker. I received my Master of Social Work degree from the University of Michigan School of Social Work in 2023 and have been working with children and families in various settings for the past three years, including schools and community mental health counseling. I have experience working with diverse populations, including children and families navigating anxiety, neurodevelopmental disorders, trauma, and grief and loss.
The foundation of my practice rests on us being full collaborative partners in the therapeutic experience. Basing my practice on a strengths-based and person-centered approach, I value client self-determination and believe lasting change occurs when clients are supported in working toward outcomes that reflect their unique wishes and experiences. You are the expert on your child, and your input and involvement is highly valued in this process. I strive to provide a supportive, compassionate, and empowering space for both children and families to understand their emotions and experiences in developmentally appropriate and nonjudgemental ways and empower them to face life’s challenges with confidence, independence, and emotional resilience.
I service children, youth, and families. My approach is highly collaborative and evidence-based. I utilize Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) along with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I incorporate play-based and developmentally appropriate interventions for children, creating a safe and engaging environment where they can explore emotions, strengthen relationships, and develop helpful coping skills that support emotional resilience.
